West Ham Can Unleash Teen Star With A "Massive Future"

West Ham United are reportedly considering Stade de Reims boss Will Still as a potential heir to David Moyes at the London Stadium and the 30-year-old could take Divin Mubama to the very top.

Could West Ham hire Will Still?

According to French news outlet Foot Mercato, the Hammers appreciate Still as an option for next season and the managerial prodigy could easily be tempted by a switch to the London Stadium, as he has already admitted to being a West Ham fan.

West Ham currently sit 18th in the Premier League with relegation a real option, which suggests that Moyes cannot be considered the long-term option in the dugout if the Hammers are to progress as a club.

Still, meanwhile, is fresh off the back of a 19-game unbeaten run in Ligue 1, which was only ended when his side suffered a 2-1 home defeat by Marseille last weekend, having avoided defeat against PSG twice and impressively beaten AS Monaco in that run.

At just 30, Still is the youngest manager in Europe's top leagues and has earned a lot of plaudits for his success with Les rouges et blancs, with journalist Julien Laurens labelling him a "genius" when it comes to tactical decisions in a recent interview.

One of the key reasons behind Still's success at Reims has been the superb form of Arsenal loanee Folarin Balogun, who trails only Jonathan David and Kylian Mbappe for goals in France's top flight so far this campaign.

The 21-year-old's 17 goals in just 27 Ligue 1 appearances is a testament to Still's impressive coaching, as his only other loan spell produced an underwhelming three goals in the Championship with Middlesbrough.

Could Will Still unleash Mubama?

Balogun's form indicates that Still knows how to get the best out of young strikers and should he move to West Ham, he could produce similar results with academy star Divin Mubama.

Despite West Ham's woes in front of goal so far this campaign, which see them ranked as one of the lowest scorers in the division, Moyes is yet to trust Mubama in the Premier League.

Divin-Mubama-West-Ham-United

The 18-year-old, who has been tipped for a "massive future" at the London Stadium by journalist Josh Bunting, has plundered in 11 goals in 15 Premier League 2 appearances this season and scored his first senior goal in the 4-0 triumph against AEK Larnaca last week.

There seems to be little that will stop the teenage striker from being a hit in West Ham's senior side in the future, and with Gianluca Scamacca and Michail Antonio both struggling for form this term, with six league goals between them, Mubama might just get his chance under a progressive manager such as Still.

If he can replicate Balogun's form at Reims under the young Belgian, then he will surely fire the Hammers up the Premier League table next season.

Tottenham Could Hire Like-For-Like Conte Replacement

Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi features 'prominently' on Tottenham's list of manager targets to replace Antonio Conte, according to reports.

Which managers do Spurs want?

Ever since Conte parted company with the Premier League top four hopefuls by mutual consent, there have been a plethora of managers mentioned as targets to potentially replace the Italian. Perhaps the most notable of those are Mauricio Pochettino – Spurs' former manager and a real fan favourite – alongside Luis Enrique and Julian Nagelsmann who are also free agents.

Tottenham are widening their managerial scope if recent reports are to go by with the likes of Zinedine Zidane, as per Sky Sports, now also in the frame. In terms of the currently employed, Eintracht Frankfurt boss Oliver Glasner and Feyenoord head coach Arne Slot are regularly mentioned as potential targets. Closer to home, Brentford's Thomas Frank and even Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper are listed as candidates.

De Zerbi joins the likes of Frank and Cooper as top flight coaches who are attracting serious interest from Tottenham as reliable newspaper The Telegraph shares an update.

The former Sassuolo boss, who has replaced Brighton's former gaffer Graham Potter to brilliant effect, apparently features 'prominently' on Tottenham's managerial shortlist. Indeed, De Zerbi is apparently a real contender – alongside the likes of Enrique and Celtic's Ange Postecoglou.

Should Spurs hire De Zerbi?

The 43-year-old should well be considered to replace Conte considering he has worked wonders at Brighton since stepping into Potter's shoes. De Zerbi encourages an attack-minded brand of football, something which could appeal to Spurs supporters after the more pragmatic spells of Conte, Nuno Espirito Santo and Jose Mourinho.

Called 'special' by Brighton midfielder Adam Lallana, the young manager comes as an intriguing option, but reliable journalist Alasdair Gold recently gave Levy something to think about in regard to De Zerbi.

Speaking in a football.london Q&A, the reporter said De Zerbi would actually be expensive to hire given his £11m release clause and is actually a 'livewire' behind-the-scenes – similar to Conte in that respect.

Gold explained:

"He would also be expensive with reportedly a big £11m release clause in his contract. Like Conte, De Zerbi is also known to be a bit of a livewire behind the scenes."

De Zerbi is not without his credentials but Levy, to avoid a repeat of Conte's antics at N17, may want to consider this personal aspect of this coach as well.

Wolves Must Unleash £55k-p/w "Beast" Vs Chelsea

Wolverhampton Wanderers could not have picked a better time to play Chelsea, with the west London outfit struggling recently, and having sacked Graham Potter, they will have Frank Lampard back in the dugout on an interim basis.

Julen Lopetegui started off well at Wolves, but the Old Gold haven’t won since the start of March, and with things extremely tight at the bottom of the Premier League table, a win against the Blues could go a long way to securing safety come the end of the season.

The Molineux side had the perfect chance to move further clear of the relegation zone against Nottingham Forest last week, but they stumbled to a 1-1 draw and Lopetegui could make a few changes in response.

One player we think must be unleashed against Chelsea is winger Adama Traore, whose pace and strength could seriously test their fragile backline.

Will Adama Traore start for Wolves against Chelsea?

The Spaniard started against Forest last week, succeeding with two dribble attempts, making one key pass and winning seven duels during the tight encounter, but he couldn’t push his side towards a winner.

Chelsea have conceded 30 goals this season, and although they could receive a 'new manager boost' with Lampard arriving in midweek, Wolves will have other plans in order to make his first match back one to forget.

Traore hasn’t quite been at his swashbuckling best this season, scoring just twice in the league and creating only four big chances – but there is an argument to say the better the opposition, the better he plays.

Against Tottenham Hotspur last month, the £55k-per-week speedster scored the winner, hit the woodwork and made one key pass in a fine 45-minute display, proving that when he is on form, the 27-year-old can cause havoc to opposition defences. He also assisted in Wolves' 3-0 win over Liverpool in February.

Adama Traore for Wolves

He enjoyed a loan spell back with Barcelona last season in a bid to gain some more game time and get back to his best, and Xavi was full of praise for Traore, saying: "Adama has matured a lot. And physically, he is a beast, a monster… In 1v1 situations, you cannot beat him. Adama is the perfect winger for me. I am convinced that he will be great for us."

His hot-and-cold nature is certainly problematic, but Lopetegui should give him another chance this afternoon, especially with Pedro Neto still battling back to full fitness.

The winger may just deliver again when it matters most and secure Wolves a precious three points, which could go a long way in the relegation battle.

Arsenal Could Find New Trossard In Hale End Teen

Arsenal’s academy production has kicked into overdrive of late, with a wealth of talent currently propping up the first-team exploits that see them sitting atop the Premier League.

Mikel Arteta must also earn credit, as a coach capable of embedding such unproven assets into the senior squad with such ease that they are unburdened by the pressures that these steps up bring.

The likes of Bukayo Saka, Emile Smith-Rowe, Gabriel Martinelli and more all came as relative unknowns, but their youth was no barrier to their emergence into the top division.

Such is this golden pathway that has since been paved, many of their current academy stars are also now pushing for their opportunity to shine.

One such name who continues to crop up amongst their top Hale End prodigies is Charles Sagoe Jr, with the dangerous winger posing a threat to all full-backs he faces at the U21 level.

As such, the teenager could be seen as the natural successor to Leandro Trossard, who has enjoyed a fine start to life in north London but is far older than many of his attacking teammates, giving credence to the suggestion that his spot will be available in a few years time.

Who is Charles Sagoe Jr?

Billed as a 'livewire attacking player' with immense versatility by Arsenal’s official website, the 18-year-old marvel has truly shone this season in Premier League 2.

Boasting five goals and two assists, his scintillating work in the youth team even led to his place on the bench in Arsenal’s first-leg Europa League clash with Sporting CP.

Journalist George Addo Jr had taken to Twitter only last month to outline how Sagoe Jr’s displays had caught widespread attention too, writing: “Charles Sagoe Jr has been in fine form for Arsenal U21s all season. He's now Arsenal's leading scorer in Premier League 2."

Whilst Trossard has just one goal since signing in January, the 28-year-old more than makes up for his lack of potency with a fine injection of much-needed creativity.

Arsenal's Leandro Trossard.

In just 12 league appearances for the Gunners, the Belgian already boasts seven assists and was named the club's player of the month for March. Not bad for someone who's only been in north London a matter of months.

He will now be the player in which the budding stars of Hale End look at in order to hone their impressive skills and Sagoe Jr should be no different.

Indeed, the fleet-footed youngster boasts similar qualities to the former Brighton ace, with an unpredictable nature capable of causing carnage among opposition defenders.

That was notably picked up on by another Hale End graduate in Reiss Nelson, who spoke directly to the winger, noting: “I’ve been watching you, I watch a lot of the U21 games and literally, I’m not just saying this because you’re here, you have everything to be an Arsenal winger.

“You’re unpredictable, you can move on your left, on your right, you can score, you can assist, you’ve got everything.”

With this huge praise, and the pathway in sight to eventually take over from the offensive exploits of Trossard, Sagoe Jr should feel confident that his time in the senior spotlight is just on the horizon.

Man Utd Don’t Want To Sell £73m 23 y/o Ace

Manchester United won't look to cash in on Jadon Sancho this summer despite his patchy form, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.

What's the latest news involving Jadon Sancho?

As per The Manchester Evening News, Red Devils' boss Erik ten Hag is becoming 'increasingly impatient' with Sancho due to his inconsistent run of form this term and could look to offload him as part of a squad clearout alongside several other first-team players.

The 23-year-old has scored five goals and created two assists in 31 appearances across all competitions in 2022/23, as per Transfermarkt.

Nevertheless, Sancho showed resolve last weekend as Manchester United defeated Brighton & Hove Albion in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley to set up a showdown with Manchester City in the final, as he stepped up and scored a penalty to help his team to victory.

As cited by The Daily Mail, Luke Shaw was quick to praise the winger alongside his teammate Marcus Rashford for dispatching their spot-kicks against the Seagulls, saying:

"They showed amazing confidence to step up. Because the last time they took one in a shootout, it was, of course, here and the memories of that. But I'm really happy for both of them to put themselves forward and take really good penalties. "I'm sure there will be a bit of relief and I think they will be very happy that they managed to take one and score."

Of course, a lot of hype revolved around Sancho when he joined Manchester United for £73 million from Borussia Dortmund back in 2021 and despite his inconsistent form, journalist Jacobs believes that the England international will still be at Old Trafford come next season.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, Jacobs said: "I know we've heard a lot of rumours about Manchester United potentially cashing in somehow, in order to generate funds because they're obviously looking for quite a big outlay, particularly with a more defined forward. But I don't think that's the case, at this point.

"Sancho has been given a clear challenge to get consistent game time, stay fit and get back to his best and live up to his price tag. And then after a slightly longer period of time and balanced against any other incomings in and around his position, things will be assessed once again."

Can Jadon Sancho come good at Manchester United?

The £350k-per-week winger definitely has the ability to be a force to be reckoned with in the Premier League, though it is clear his confidence has suffered at times during his spell in Manchester.

Despite this, he has still been a creative presence on the flank for the Red Devils – hailed a "baller" by broadcaster Sam Homewood – he has successfully provided 59 shot-creating actions this campaign, as per FBRef.

Man United's Anthony Martial and Jadon Sancho

WhoScored also note that Sancho has managed around 1.6 key passes per match in the English top flight in 2022/23, illustrating his vision to thread teammates into dangerous attacking positions.

Undoubtedly, he can do better in a Manchester United shirt; however, he could still turn out to be a great signing at Old Trafford with time if he can find his mojo fully and turn in consistent displays on the field.

Ten Hag has shown he can lead a player to find their best form in Rashford and it will be intriguing to see if he can do the same with Sancho.

Tottenham: Spurs Make Big Mauricio Pochettino Decision

Mauricio Pochettino has 'long liked' the idea of re-joining Tottenham Hotspur with both the coach and Spurs now making a final decision on his mooted return.

What's the latest Spurs manager news?

After the north Londoners succumbed to a humbling 6-1 loss at the hands of Premier League top four rivals Newcastle United on Sunday, chairman Daniel Levy made the big call to sack interim head coach Cristian Stellini.

The result capitulated Eddie Howe's side into a solid position to qualify for next season's Champions League campaign whilst dealing a mighty blow to Spurs – who are now six points adrift of fourth.

The Lilywhites face a real uphill battle to catch both Man United and Newcastle, with the two sides both possessing games in hand on Spurs and superior goal differences. Levy is facing a disastrous end to the 2022/2023 campaign and simply must make the right call when it comes to Antonio Conte's replacement.

Luis Enrique and Julian Nagelsmann stand out as the most big name and readily-available candidates for hire, with both men being heavily linked in the last week. Pochettino, who has been mentioned as a possible option since Conte's departure, is thought to be in talks with Chelsea despite Spurs fans singing for his return from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium stands.

Mauricio Pochettino

All the noises suggest he is edging towards west London, and according to The Independent, both Pochettino and Spurs have made their decision on his mooted reunion at N17.

As per this report, the 51-year-old has 'long liked the idea' of a return to Tottenham, as have Spurs themselves, with both Pochettino and the hierarchy strongly considering it back in 2021, However, this time round, he didn't emerge as a major contender for the role – with the two parties both making a decision to 'look on'.

Chelsea, meanwhile, are a serious destination for the tactician.

Are Spurs making a Pochettino mistake?

The former Paris-Saint Germain boss, who already knows the club and members of their squad, also has the necessary experience in England and would have been a brilliant appointment.

Pochettino also would have returned to Tottenham with trophy-winning pedigree – clinching a Ligue 1 title and other honours in France – with his status as a free agent coming as another attraction.

Called an 'excellent' manager by Man City boss Pep Guardiola, we feel it is quite simply a missed opportunity for Spurs and supporters could be very disappointed he is heading towards one of their major London rivals.

It's back to the drawing board for Levy and Tottenham's chief is under immense pressure to make the right appointment.

Everton Keen On Deal To Sign "Appalling" £20k-p/w Defender

Everton are interested in completing a summer deal to sign West Ham United defender Ben Johnson, according to reports.

What's the latest on Johnson to Everton?

The Irons right-back is an academy graduate at the London Stadium having worked his way up through the youth ranks to become a regular feature of David Moyes' first-team squad, recording 83 senior appearances to date. However, the 23-year-old will be out of contract at the end of next season, meaning that he will become a free agent should he not be offered fresh terms to extend his stay by this time next year.

Claret and Hugh has reported that the E20 outfit were looking to negotiate a new deal with the Premier League starlet last Christmas, but decided to hold off due to the poor form he was displaying at the time in the hope that things would change for the better. But with that not being the case, the hierarchy are now open to offers during the upcoming window.

The Toffees were credited with a strong interest in the England U21 international back in January, with Sean Dyche claimed to have personally green-lighted a move, and despite a deal failing to materialise at the time, it sounds like the boss is ready to take a second bite of the cherry in the weeks and months ahead.

According to Football Insider, Everton remain "keen" to wrap up a deal with West Ham and secure the services of Johnson ahead of the 2023/24 season. The Merseyside outfit are set to enter the market for defensive reinforcements and have identified the £20k-per-week ace as a "top target".

Everton, who are "still in pursuit" of the full-back, believe that he is a "top-class operator" whose ability to play on both flanks makes him an "attractive" option for the board.

West Ham United defender Ben Johnson.

Should Everton make an offer for Johnson?

Johnson hasn’t featured in any of West Ham’s last seven Premier League games – being completely omitted from the squad for four of those, showing that he’s perhaps not good enough to warrant a place in the first team. Therefore, we think Everton should avoid this move at all costs.

The Europa League participant has made just 20 tackles since the start of the season, ranking him the tenth-lowest player for the Hammers, and going forward, he has recorded only one shot, which is the lowest of any of West Ham's outfield players to have featured this term, as per FBref.

With a meagre three goal contributions to his name in 83 senior appearances under Moyes, Johnson’s display against Brighton & Hove Albion last month saw him labelled “appalling” and “so far short of the quality required” by talkSPORT broadcaster Tom Rennie, and we do not believe he is the profile of player that Dyche should be looking to sign come the summer, regardless of the club’s league status.

Aston Villa Could Move For £170k-p/w Star In Summer

Aston Villa could make a move for Barcelona attacker Ferran Torres in the summer transfer window, journalist Graeme Bailey has claimed.

What's going on with Ferran Torres?

The Spain international has fallen down the pecking order at Barcelona this season following the arrivals of Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha, and after an inconsistent campaign, he could depart in the summer.

Barcelona are reportedly keen to bring Lionel Messi back to the club, but given their financial issues, they have to make major sales in order to fund such a move, and Torres could be one of the players sacrificed.

The £170k-p/w star has scored seven times in 41 appearances this season, and could return to the Premier League less than two years after departing Manchester City.

Speaking on The Talking Transfers Podcast (32:30), Bailey revealed that Aston Villa are interested in a move for the 23-year-old.

"Ferran Torres is a name we're already hearing, I wouldn't be surprised if Ansu Fati's name came up," he stated.

"A player whose name is coming up, Yannick Carrasco, a player who Barcelona have got a first option on, which they're unlikely go through with.

"The thing Villa fans will be very happy about we're talking about that next calibre of player now."

Would Ferran Torres move to Aston Villa?

Given that Torres pushed for a move away from Man City to join Barcelona in the first place, it may be a tough ask to lure him back away from La Liga.

However, if the club push him towards the exit door in order to fund a move for Messi, then he could leave in search of first-team football, and if Villa qualify for Europe they could be a viable option.

Aston Villa manager Unai Emery.

Mateu Alemany is expected to join Villa from Barcelona as a director, and he will know Torres well from their stints at the Nou Camp and at Valencia. If he is able to pull off such a deal, it could be a huge coup for Villa.

Torres can play across the entire front line, and could help strengthen Unai Emery's side going forward. If there is European football on offer, then extra quality depth would be necessary, and he could be the perfect statement addition as they return to continental competition for the first time in over eleven years.

Barcelona manager Xavi previously described Torres as "world-class," and it would be a signing which could bring a lot of excitement to Villa Park.

Chelsea Make Approach To Sign £878k-p/w Superstar

Chelsea have been linked with a move to sign Neymar as the Brazilian prepares to leave Paris in the summer. The Brazilian is one of the greatest ever to play the game and many supporters would love to see him move to the Premier League.

Are Chelsea interested in signing Neymar?

According to journalist Isabela Pagliari, Chelsea could emerge as an option for Neymar as he carefully considers his next steps. He is already 31, so his next club will be hugely important.

AS, via Sport Witness, corroborates Pagliari's story with an update of their own. The Spanish newspaper reports that Chelsea are one of three clubs in England that want to sign Neymar after making an approach. Along with Chelsea, Newcastle United and Manchester United are interested in the Brazilian.

All three Premier League sides can afford to sign someone like Neymar although paying his mouth-watering €1million (£878k) per week wages will be an issue. There is no doubting his class but that is vastly more than anyone earns in the Premier League.

AS adds that it's Neymar who "opens the door for the exit" after he refused to leave the club last summer. Now the player and the club are on the same page as PSG will be fearful of allowing him to leave for free in two years with now being their biggest opportunity to generate a transfer fee.

How can Chelsea sign Neymar?

According to AS, via Sport Witness, Chelsea, along with United and Newcastle, have made an approach to signal their desire to sign him this summer. All three clubs have "already expressed their interest in signing" the Brazilian forward but if he wants to move to the Premier League, he will need to accept a pay cut.

PSG will be forced to pay a portion of his earnings if he fails to find a suitable agreement – it's also possible that the Ligue 1 outfit send him out on loan with an option to buy.

Chelsea would surely be delighted to sign Neymar, especially with Mauricio Pochettino likely to take over as the new manager.

The Argentine has spoken at length about his admiration for Neymar and the opportunity to see them work together in England is an exciting one.

While speaking on talkSPORT, Danny Murphy said that Neymar is a "special talent" and in terms of natural ability, the former Santos star is one of the greatest of all time.

His record backs it up as well, having got 293 goals and 188 assists during his career not to mention all the major honours he has won.

Presenter Fumes At Everton Player’s Antics Vs Man City

Presenter Lawrence Bury was left deeply unimpressed with Yerry Mina's antics in Everton's 3-0 defeat at home to Manchester City in the Premier League.

How did Everton fare against Man City?

The Blues faced a mammoth task on Sunday afternoon, as they welcomed the reigning champions to Goodison Park for another huge game. Pep Guardiola's side have been in sensational form of late, as they look to win a treble, so it was always going to be a likely away win.

Everton battled well in the first half, but they were undone by a piece of brilliance by Ilkay Gundogan, who brilliantly steered an effort past Jordan Pickford. Erling Haaland then scored his customary goal for Guardiola's men, heading home to double the lead in swift fashion.

From that point done, it was a routine afternoon for City – Gundogan added a free-kick after the break – as they cruised to three points and ensured that Everton remain very much in the relegation battle. Sean Dyche's team are in 17th place and one point clear of the drop zone with two matches remaining, with a nerve-shredding couple of weeks on the horizon.

Someone who seemed heavily involved in the action throughout was Mina, who was involved in a constant physical battle with Haaland, as they looked to get the better of one another. There was a separate incident that displayed the Colombian's bad side, though – one that didn't involve the City striker.

What did Mina do wrong?

Taking to Twitter, Bury lambasted Mina's playacting after a tussle with Aymeric Laporte during the first half, in a moment that didn't cover the central defender in glory:

"Yerry Mina is everything wrong with modern footballers."

In truth, Mina's behaviour was fairly embarrassing in that one incident, with the 28-year-old going to ground easily after contact from the City defender. The 39-cap Colombia international is clearly a good player when he is fit, and an influential performer for Everton, but it would be nice to see him cut that out of his game.

There may be some who enjoy the histrionics, especially when it comes from a player representing their team, but Mina embarrassed himself and it ultimately had no bearing on the result, with his reputation only damaged because of it.

That being said, he could be a massive player in these final two games, with Dyche needing him to be at the absolute top of his game against both Wolves and Bournemouth.
