The Hoops are flying high at the top of the Scottish Premiership, however, Brendan Rodgers and those behind the scenes at Celtic Park are still looking to make multiple January additions.

One of those likely to arrive at Parkhead in 2025 is former defender Kieran Tierney. The left-back is surplus to requirements at Arsenal and looks set to sign a pre-contract agreement with Celtic, who also want to seal a loan deal for the remainder of the campaign.

Talking about the rumours to Tierney, Rodgers recently said: “Yeah, we’ll always be linked with top players, and especially players that are one of us.

“Kieran was an instrumental part of a really, really successful period when I was here, and his talents then took him on to another challenge in the Premier League. So, yeah, we’ll be linked with lots of names, Kieran obviously, naturally because of his situation. But for us, we’ll only ever tell you when we sign a player, once he’s signed.”

The 22-year-old appears to be the latest name on Celtic’s attacker search and he has seen his Transfermarkt valuation rocket from €250,000 to a career-high €3m over the last 12 months.

He has been on the books with SM Caen in France, Valencia in Spain and both Brommapojkarna and BK Hacken in Sweden. Inoussa has caught the eye in recent years of TFA Scouted, who labelled him as a skilful and energetic attacker who can be unpredictable.

“Zeidane Inoussa is a right-footed winger who operates from the left wing but has the proficiency to operate from the right as well. He is a skillful player with energetic impact on the field. Profiles as a modern-day winger who is tricky dribbler and has unpredictability in his game.”

Sometimes, action needs to be taken in the Premier League. Dominic Calvert-Lewin has – rightly – been hit with plenty of criticism this season, having gone 16 matches without a single goal contribution for a struggling Everton side.

While the non-committal striker has been dismal for large portions of the campaign, he’s hardly been helped by his playmakers, with Everton actually the least creative team in the division this season.

Ten goals from 18 appearances certainly constitutes a reputation as a goalscoring winger, especially as he’s created four big chances and averaged 1.6 dribbles per game too.

Without question, he’d be an upgrade on Harrison for the remainder of the 2024/25 campaign, with the on-loan Everton star enduring a torrid season in the Premier League, yet to score or assist over 18 outings, equating to 1,001 minutes in total.

The 28-year-old has also only managed to create three big chances while averaging 0.6 dribbles per game, with a measly success rate of 32%.

The Athletic have confirmed this month that Everton are seeking new forms of firepower on the flanks, and Yilmaz would be the electric option capable of steering the club away from the drop zone.

It would be unwise to cut Harrison’s loan spell short and send him back to Leeds United, but in Yilmaz, an exciting option could arrive and trump him to the starting spot.

According to The Star‘s Miller on X, Sheffield Wednesday are eyeing the signing of Nottingham Forest striker Emmanuel Dennis in the January window.

“Understand one of the striker options being considered at Wednesday is out-of-favour Forest man Emmanuel Dennis. Suggestion is he is one on a list. Has a 10-goal PL season under his belt, played with two former Owls previously.”

Dennis could be a really strong signing by Wednesday midway through the season, with the 27-year-old playing and scoring in an incredible seven different positions during his career, including centre forward, right wing, left wing and as a number ten – such versatility could be a big asset.

He has also netted once for Nigeria at international level, and scored 12 goals in the Premier League, with Michael Owen once lauding him as “excellent” and also being hailed by former manager Claudio Ranieri: “Dennis is a very talented player. He’s fast, has good skill, always runs straight to the goal – I love these kinds of players.”

Wednesday badly need more firepower during the second half of their Championship campaign, considering Josh Windass (10) is the only player to have reached double figures in the league this season, with Michael Smith only on five goals in second place.

The January transfer window still has just over a week left to run and Glasgow Rangers are still reportedly looking at potential deals, for this month and for the summer.

Rafael Fernandes recently arrived on loan from Lille, with an option to make the deal permanent at the end of the season, but did not make his debut in the 3-1 win over Dundee United on Sunday.

However, the Light Blues are yet to bring in a frontline signing to come in as an immediate starter and upgrade for the squad, with the young defender their only addition of the window to date.

The Gers beat Dundee United 3-1, partly thanks to the stunning strike from Cyriel Dessers above, but they are in the market for another signing, with a player from the other side in Dundee on their radar – Lyall Cameron.

Whilst he is out of contract, Rangers would still need to pay a compensation fee and wages for the 22-year-old Scottish whiz, which means that he would not come as cheap as advertised with his expiring deal.

Koppen could save the club’s money, however, after another excellent performance from Ianis Hagi on Sunday proved that he has what it takes to be a star for the Gers moving forward.

The Romania international was not in Clement’s plans, due to a contract dispute, at the start of the season and there may, therefore, have been transfer plans drawn up for the future without him being part of it.

His current deal is up at the end of the season but the manager reportedly wants to keep hold of the attacking midfielder and, hopefully, they can agree an extension with him, which would allow them to move on from Cameron and save money on a new signing.

Hagi has scored one goal and provided five assists, along with five ‘big chances’ created in 11 starts in the Premiership so far this season, with his latest assist coming for Robin Propper on Sunday.
